9 dancers, 1 choreographer, 1 dramaturg, 1 rehearsal assistant and eventually, a few extras, of the Tanztheater at Staatstheater Kassel are in full swing creating, working and exploring for the upcoming October 17th premiere of Tanzabend I (Dance Evening 1). The subjects are secrets, wishes and gender, the sets are large white boxes and the props are an entire stage filled with hanging microphones. Your task; bring a new object every morning that you feel involves one of the three subjects being discussed. Just think of it as a show n’ tell for adults.

Read it today! I don’t care what you have to do, buy it, rent it, borrow it, steal it - just make sure you read it. Written by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin, Three Cups of Tea is a winner of The Kiriyama Prize and tells “The astonishing, uplifting story of a real-life Indiana Jones and his remarkable humanitarian campaign in the Taliban’s backyard.” For more information, click here.

The chris + brea duo just arrived home from a few days of exploring today’s hottest city in the world (I mean ‘hot’ like ‘go there now!’ not like ‘ouch’). Thanks to the graciousness of our friend Ben who played non-stop tour guide for four days, we saw enough of the city to want to go back very soon. Berlin is not Kassel, folks!
